MISSION
Greening steam around the world
- Reduce global greenhouse gas emissions by 10% -
About 30% of coal and heavy oil in Japan is burned to generate electricity, but about 70% is burned to utilize heat. Decarbonization of electricity is progressing with the expansion of solar and wind power generation, but
There is still no right answer when it comes to technology that can decarbonize heat.
If we can achieve decarbonization of heat and ensure stable use of cheap energy, we will be able to live a better life than we do now.
Believing that we can create a better society, Blossom Energy aims to provide stable, affordable, carbon-free heat.
PROJECT
Developing a highly efficient decarbonized boiler that has zero CO2 emissions and has lower heat costs than fossil fuel boilers.
We provide a heat storage system to enable greater use of highly variable renewable energy.
HTGRs, which use the nuclear fission energy of uranium, are the only type of reactor that is inherently safe and prevents severe accidents due to their double-layered structure of uranium wrapped in heat-resistant ceramics and graphite. The high temperatures of HTGRs can be used to generate hydrogen or directly as a heat source for industry, reducing carbon emissions and contributing to sustainable development.
